GILD Alternative Funds is a specialized alternative investment manager with a track record in asset based investing and lending investments, private equity and real estate investments in the Emerging Europe.
The key team of GILD Alternative Funds started to work together in 1999. In the same year the team launched a private equity fund New Economy Ventures. The average net annual return of New Economy Ventures since the inception has been more than 31% and thus the fund has multiplied investors' money more than 9 times. In 2001 the team launched GILD Arbitrage, the first multi-strategy hedge fund in the Baltics. As a response to the rapid changes in the economic environment GILD Arbitrage has been recently restructured into a non-public closed-end common risk capital fund. As of February 2010 GILD Alternative Funds holds a minority stake in the fund management company of GILD Arbitrage.
Currently the GILD Real Estate team in GILD Alternative Funds manages a public closed-end real estate fund EEREIF focused on investing into commercial real estate in Emerging Europe.
In September 2008, GILD Real Estate became a member of the European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV, www.inrev.org) which joins together more than 320 leading institutions and other market players.
