The private equity fund New Economy Ventures (GILD Long Haul I) was established by GILD Partners in 1999, and the average annual net return since inception has been more than 31%. The fund was focusing on Baltic and CEE countries and on new media and technology sectors.

Some success stories are:

  • MoonFish Media – managing internet portals like real estate sites Kv.ee and Edomus.lt, and the auction site Osta.ee;
  • Forticom – managing social networks such as One.lv, One.lt and Odnoklassniki.ru in Internet;
  • CVO Group – providing recruitment and human resource services across Europe;
  • Comtrade / Starman – providing telecommunication services based on its cable-TV networks.

 
As of today, New Economy Ventures (GILD Long Haul I) has exited most of its investments and returned more than 7.7 times the original investment to its investors.
